Westworld Episode 3 Instant Take: “Virtù e Fortuna”

Roger returns to the podcast much soberer than the last episode as the Shatty Trio provide their instant thoughts of Episode 3 of Westworld Season 2, “Virtù e Fortuna”.

The world that Delos created has gotten much larger, and so has our Instacast, as we review the introduction of a new theme park, use our high school Latin textbooks to understand the meaning of the title, and ponder the connective plot points we witnessed.

What does “Virtù e Fortuna” mean? What’s the new park called? Who’s that mystery woman? And how do you say “these violent delights have violent ends” in Punjabi? Fret not dear listeners, if there’s a topic we didn’t discuss, let us know and we’ll explore it during our Deep Dive episode on Tuesday.

Welcome back, Louis Herthum. We missed you. Now go kick ass. To read all our fan email, theories and more, plus Gene Lyons’ responses to them, visit https://shatontv.com/category/westworld-telegraph/

Westworld Episode 3: Summary: “Virtù e Fortuna” A new park is introduced — welcome to British Raj World, for the guest with a colonial fetish — and we see how the chaos that began in the dusty locales around Sweetwater has spilled over into the other sectors. Dolores rides into the depressingly named Fort of Forlorn Hope and comes face-to-face with dear old dad (considerably worse for wear) while Maeve and her small team push forward to find her daughter.
