Roger Roeper / @Twitter – The details of his life are quite inconsequential… very well, where do we begin? His father was a notorious lot-lizard hunter from Daytona Beach, Florida with a mild case of halitosis and a fondness for speaking out of turn. As a boy, Roger would make outrageous claims that he invented Pop Rocks, or that he possessed the ability to read lips. Often Roger would accuse his sneakers of being lazy, and steal sips from his father’s bottle of Miller High Life. Otherwise, his childhood was typical, summers in O-Town, luge lessons, and time sketching penises into his Mad Magazines. In the spring he would make meat helmets and worship his false gods.
Dick Ebert / @Twitter – Dick Ebert is a second-rate American film critic born in the early 1970s, on the outskirts of New York City. His career began in 1989, as a Customer Service Representative for prestigious Blockbuster Video LLC. In 2004, he became one of the early trailblazers of ripping and copying DVDs. That same year Ebert met a promising young Planet Hollywood Video DJ and fellow movie critic Roger Roeper. After years apart the two critics reunited to create “Shat the Movies”, an internet podcast where they debated the quality of the 1980s & the 1990s most revered films. The podcast proved a surprising hit, yet Roeper and Ebert still failed to become household names.
