Thoughts:
- Arnold is the original sentient host. This is why Delos does not recognize Bernard as Ford’s original “partner”. Bernard is the 2nd generation, toned down version, as Arnold was driven mad just as the other original hosts. Could Bernard have come onto the scene somewhat more recently. I cannot think of an instance where he is shown during the time period of William and Logan?
- After Bernard and Charlotte enter the secret lab, you will notice an “item” darkened against the upstairs frosted glass. In the next shot where the upstairs is shown, this “item” is joined by two moving figures. This “item” looks like it could be a baby ‘crib’. Given the new opening scenes that show a mother host holding a baby host, could this be a hint at host procreation?
- As an extension of thought #2, could the reason Maeve is so intent on finding her daughter is that she really did have a baby?
